About the Corozal Rotary Club

The Corozal Rotary Club is a dedicated group of community leaders and volunteers serving the Corozal District in northern Belize - just miles from the Mexico border. As part of Rotary International, the club is committed to improving lives through service, compassion, and community-driven action.

Serving a district of approximately 50,000 people across Corozal Town and 23 surrounding villages, the club plays a vital role in addressing local needs and creating opportunities for individuals and families to thrive.

What They Do

The Corozal Rotary Club focuses on impactful, life-changing initiatives that directly support their community:

• Scholarship Program – Providing educational opportunities for students across the district, with 30–40 scholarships awarded annually
• Prosthetics Program – Restoring mobility and independence by providing below-the-knee prosthetics to those in need
• Community Support Initiatives – Assisting families and individuals facing hardship through targeted programs and outreach
• Health & Wellness Efforts – Supporting access to essential services that improve quality of life
• Local & Regional Collaboration – Partnering with other Rotary clubs and organizations to expand impact

In recent years, the club has:

• Awarded up to 42 scholarships in a single year
• Provided 33 individuals with life-changing prosthetic limbs

Why It Matters

In many parts of the Corozal District, access to education and essential medical support can be limited. The Corozal Rotary Club steps in to bridge these gaps - helping students stay in school and empowering individuals to regain mobility, independence, and dignity.
