Why it Matters
Prior to this project, Placencia lacked adequate, weather-resilient public infrastructure for organized sports and community gatherings. Extreme heat, heavy rainfall, and limited lighting restricted access and reduced participation.
The Community Complex:
- Supports youth development and healthy activity
- Enables year-round events and gatherings
- Generates local economic activity
- Creates a self-sustaining community asset
