The Rotary Club of Punta Gorda is based in the Toledo District of Belize, which is the southern-most district in the country. The Rotary Club of Punta Gorda serves the entire Toledo District, including Punta Gorda town and the many villages in the Toledo District, including over 35 Maya villages. The club partners with many Rotary Clubs throughout the United States and Canada to serve the citizens of the Toledo District.

The club supports our community in many ways, with education, livelihood development and healthcare being their major services.

However, this is only possible with the help of donors!
This enables our Rotary Punta Gorda members and partnering Rotary Clubs to serve our community to the fullest extent possible.

Bookshelves for Schools The Rotary Club of Punta Gorda is teaming up with Believe in Belize to raise $947 USD to supply bookshelves to a total of 33 classrooms in 8 schools in the rural villages in Toledo District in Belize. This will enable the schools to display the books donated via Believe in Belize from the USA and preserve them against the elements in our tropical environment.

Update Nov 7, 2024: Great news! Thanks to our generous donors, we have reached our fundraising goal for the Bookshelves for Schools project.  We are all so appreciative.  Please stay tuned for some pictures once the bookshelves are built.

Below are samples of some of the work we have done in the past.  Thank you in advance for supporting our Punta Gorda and Toledo District community.  For additional information, please call or message us through our Facebook page.
