In 2021 we received a request from Golden Stream Village to provide them a Brush Cutter for their school.  Golden Stream is a rural Mayan village in Toledo District consisting of about 65 families.  Constant vegetation growth around the school is a challenge and often students are provided machetes to clear this vegetation during the school day.  The village does not have electricity, so the brush cutter has to be gas powered.

We received a generous donation from the members of the Potomac-Bethesda Rotary Club for US$776.

Message received from Edwin, our contact at the village: "Our teachers had told me to tell you that they are very happy and said a big thank you for the donation it will help our school compound to be clean all the time now".
