Corozal Belize's scholarship fund is a comprehensive action to empower by monetary scholarships to financially less fortunate Corozal families. Scholarships are based on academic achievement and financial need. The director, Ms. Zeide Vellos (corozalhoc@nichbelize.org, 011-501-422-0071) organizes an "anything goes" food tasting event as part of Corozal Belize's September celebration (independence) to raise funds. The 2022 event awarded 63 scholarships to outstanding students.
Updates
We typically award 30-35 scholarships annually, depending on available funding and donations. Last year we were able to award 42!
