Henni was born and raised in Finland. She has always done a lot of traveling while growing up and ended up moving to Southern Ontario, Canada after graduating. She has done her fair share of schooling as she graduated as a pharmacist in 2012 (University of Eastern Finland), followed up with Environmental Sciences Bachelor’s in 2019 and Environmental Sciences Master’s in 2021 at the University of Helsinki.

Henni has done some environmental work during her internships, being involved in green building research and environmental education and outreach. After moving to Canada in 2021, she dedicated her time to improving her artwork while waiting for immigration papers to go through. After receiving her permanent residency in 2022, she got employed at Toucan Ridge Ecology & Education Society (T.R.E.E.S) thanks to ECO Canada’s Environmental Foreign Talent Program. Now Henni works as a Fundraising Coordinator with T.R.E.E.S, https://www.treesociety.org/, and therefore was introduced to Belize. She loves the conservation and community work they do and helps managing their social media, as well.

While growing as a professional environmentalist, Henni also wanted to put her free time to good use by helping others as growing awareness is one of her biggest missions. When presented with the opportunity, she decided to strive to help Believe in Belize with Social Media efforts.

On top of her environmental work, Henni is passionate about art, photography, archery, and video games. She also likes to put time into her own social media, especially her Canadian adventures Instagram @gaga_ham.
